The Adventure Museum in Stockholm, which opens on March 7, 2026 in Stockholm, was founded by Fredrik

Erixon and Richard Leckne after they met at the Adventure Academy in 2016. There,

the idea of creating a place entirely dedicated to adventure, which we both love, was born.

For us, adventure is not just extreme expeditions, but a way of living with courage, curiosity

and direction. The museum is created to inspire people to reconnect with their dreams and their

inner drive.

At the Adventure Museum, nature, people and storytelling meet. Through film, photography and

documentation from the world's most remote places, we show both the beauty of the planet and its

vulnerability. Nature is not a backdrop, but a co-creator and teacher – and a reminder of our

responsibility for the future.

Adventures will be the world's first museum that depicts adventures from around the world – created to

inspire our guests, awaken dreams and rekindle the sense of adventure.

The museum also functions as an educational platform. With school programs, lectures and

interactive exhibitions, we give visitors tools to reflect on their life choices, their driving forces

and their relationship to the world.

Adventurers will offer three parallel exhibitions. In the exhibitions we will follow adventurers on their journeys and explorations. First up is Fredrika Ek who cycled around the world, an adventure that took three years to complete, Fredrik Sträng and his exhibition about the highest mountains in the world “+8000 meters”. and Ronan Donovan with an exhibition about the wolves in Yellowstone.

"Deep in our DNA, we are programmed to explore. Man has reached the depths of the ocean, climbed the world's highest mountain and even made it to the moon. And we continue to seek new horizons. Time and time again, what was once considered impossible has proven possible. The Adventure Museum aims to be an inclusive meeting place for stories, perspectives and dreams – a museum that not only shows what man has done, but what he can still become. The Adventure Museum will be the world's first museum to depict adventures from around the world – created to inspire our guests, awaken dreams and rekindle the sense of adventure." - Says Fredrik Erixon

"We all love stories about a great adventure. As children, we are fascinated by adventures we see on TV and

read about in books. We grow up with the hope of one day realizing our innermost

dreams. But as adults, we often neglect them – and eventually forget them completely. We get stuck in

the wheel, working longer and longer days and trading time for money." - says Richard Leckne.
